Solitary Confinement provides even more profits for private prisons





Solitary Confinement in prisons is up 17% in the past five year, the GAO released. Despite the sequester hitting hard social programs, the US prison system is booming. To hold someone in solitary confinement it costs roughly 162-212 dollars a day. Roughly 78,000 a year for one individual. RT's Margaret Howell explains.
