Breaking Barriers

This 1986 investigation of SEMA, a Maryland laboratory now known as BIOQUAL, was featured on national television and prompted Dr. Jane Goodall to call for the facility's closure after she witnessed its horrific treatment of baby chimpanzees. Four chimpanzees were rescued from this horrendous facility during the investigation, but PETA continues to fight for the dozens of chimpanzees still imprisoned and used in cruel experiments there.
