we hear so often of the trials and tribulations of men being incarcerated..losing their freedom..we hear everyday of their pain ...of the injustices..but how often do we hear about the women in this world who become a part of this same system , that takes away their freedom..we all have been made aware of the plight of men we've come to feel we know and the number is endless..but how many cases of women who go to prison unjustly are we really acquainted with and their time is harder...when men go to prison in their minds they become the priority..the make their women send them packages...they insist they accept their collect calls...the expect and demand money be put in their accounts..many times these same young men left no money...and all they really left their women ..their children ...is alone...they leave these woman with the added burden of taking care of them as well as maintaining a household..and raising children...alone..the thing is...many many women do this for their men..they go in debt..do without out ...to make sure he has what he wants while in prison...but...when a woman goes to prison...if not for the generosity of her family ..she have nothing because you see..mr right ...doesnt visit her...he doesnt send packages...she cant call him..and he often doesnt even have their children...many times..and ill repeat this...many times she is in prison for him...taking responsibility for possession or worst just to keep her man on the street ...but he isnt there after telling those beautiful spun lies like...baby..ill come see you every visiting day...yo boo i got the kids....dont worry...ill send you what you need as soon as you get there...i got you...ill handle everything...she finds herself alone...lonely...aching for the things she left behind for "him"...
