America criminalizing HIV?

Wednesday marked National HIV Testing Day in America. According to the US Centers for Disease Control, nearly 1.2 million Americans are living with the disease and approximately one-out-of-five are unaware they are living with HIV. The purpose of testing day is to help those infected treat the problem at an early stage, but if someone has HIV should they be forced to disclose their status? In 45 of the 50 states, there are HIV specific laws that deal with these types of issues. Catherine Hanssens with the Center for HIV Law and Policy
