US Supreme Court weighs gay marriage

The US Supreme Court has taken up the issue of gay marriage for the first time.

It will review a challenge to a federal law that denies same-sex couples the same benefits as heterosexual couples.


It will also look at whether Califorinia's ban on same-sex marriage is constitutional.
