Immunity offer to the US seems insane: Gordon Duff

An analyst says any offer of immunity for the US-led forces fighting war in Afghanistan seems insane and irrational.

In the background of this, US officials have said they have imprisoned over 200 Afghan teenagers in the military prison near Bagram airfield since 2008 and will continue to do so as the need arises. President Karzai has said that he will consider immunity from Afghan courts for US troops in Afghanistan from next year conditional on the US allowing Afghanistan to have its sovereignty back, which entails the US handover of all detainees into Afghan custody, the closure of US/Western prisons in Afghanistan, handover of Afghan airspace and a stop to illegal raids on Afghan villages.
