The Freedom Rides — 50 Years Later

Kid Reporter Henry Dunkelberger sat down with Rep. John Lewis (D, Atlanta, Georgia) in his office in Washington, D.C., recently to discuss Lewis' involvement in the Freedom Rides.

This May marks the 50th anniversary of the Freedom Rides, when Civil Rights activists boarded buses in the south to test a court ban on discrimination in interstate transportation.
