Dear Mr Cameron,

There is an escalating authoritarian brutality that has taken over and is dictating the terms of life for ordinary people. Worse yet, it is coming from people who have no concept of what the lives of ordinary people are like. When that idiot Freud said, 'Poor people should be prepared to take more risks because they have the least to lose', he revealed an unbridgeable and unassailable ignorance of the realities of life from a place of privilege and favour. That he actually chooses to impose his ignorance on the poorest and most vulnerable is a crime.

I have never known or witnessed such widespread fear as has grown in this country since your government came to office. There is not an ounce of consideration or care, just an authoritarian brutality that presumes to dictate to ordinary people backed up by ever increasing sanctions and punitive policies that serve only to make ordinary peoples lives worse.

Chris Grayling plans to impose a lights out policy from !0:30 at night on 15 to 17 year olds, forcing them into isolation and depriving them of sensory input of any kind. Authoritarianism creates victims, Grayling is creating the crisis even whilst stating he is 'absolutely clear there is not a crisis in our prisons'. Who needs experts when you've got such overwhelming belief?

Iain Duncan Smith is presiding over a crisis in the welfare system of his own making utterly convinced in his self righteous arrogance that he is right and everybody else is wrong. Universal Credit is a catastrophic disaster that has prematurely ended the lives of who knows how many thousands of people now that Smith has refused to release the figures.

This arrogant belief in self righteousness, absent of any doubt, ignoring any and all contrary facts and reality, has dragged this country into a new dark age. It is human to doubt, it is inhuman to be so arrogantly unconcerned at the suffering being caused by the ignorance of overwhelming self righteous belief. That is really sick!
