sound of silence
I stand alone in a world of silence
Longing for the sound of your voice
When shall I hear you speak
Not with wisdom of words
But with wisdom of solitude
Alone? no, I have no fear of the divine
So celestial, pure in heart, my sweet divine
Choirs praise you in silence
Never alone, never in solitude
They alone have heard your voice
Spoken your words
I too long to hear you speak
Will I ever learn the language in which you speak
Or shall I ever remain in such cold solitude
Yearning, oh so yearning to feel your voice
To touch, to taste, to feel the divine
Such a moment would surely be sealed in silence
Without need of wordNot with wisdom of words
Nor with vibrations of voice
Not Shrouded in the mystery of silence
Nor shunned by one so divine
I shall be deafened no more as you speak
Finally, shattering this solitude
Goodbye to you my self imposed solitude
In this awakening now you shall hear my voice
I shall be the one to speak
I shall be the Sovereign, Monarch, be divine
With wisdom of words
There shall be no more silence
Such elation, such peace, such silence
In a world divine
I hear angels speak
Not with wisdom of words
Nor in secretive solitude
But in response to the sound of my voice
Hear my cry as I raise my voice to speak
Silence broken, yet not by words
Divine inspiration spared my solitude existence, for I discovered wisdom of self
