Minorities are expandable to the US Justice System
Troy Davis has been on death row for nearly 20 years for a murder charge in Georgia, despite overwhelming evidence in his favor. Former Black Panther activist Mumia Abu-Jamal has been awaiting death for nearly a decade longer and his innocence is also still highly debated and discussed today. What does this say about the US justice system and racism? "It says everything there is to say about it," says Deirdre O'Connor of Innocence Matters. Too often the courts look less toward the truth and more toward finding accountability, regardless of who will suffer. O'Connor speaks to RT about these two cases.
