US Split: Debate rages as Obama pushes gun control law
President Barack Obama has met with police chiefs from cities in the US where mass shootings have occurred. He wants their support for a review of the country's gun control policy. Obama's proposal of tougher gun regulations and a ban on assault weapons has divided public opinion. With many standing by the constitutions 2nd amendment - the right to bear arms.
