Justice for Aiyana Jones Committee
Seeks a Fair and Balanced
“Jury of his peers”
Trial for Charles Jones
(Father of Aiyana Jones)

The Justice for Aiyana Jones Committee (JAJC) seeks to make sure that Aiyana's father, Charles Jones, is afforded a fair and balanced trial including a mandate that his peer group demographic is represented on his jury.

JAJC will expand its justice campaign, and will focus on, and, fight against, the fact that way too many young, Black men and women are programmed to fail, and are trapped in an unforgiveable environment that promotes, and advocates for their early demise.
JAJC plans to inspire a dialogue, and movement that will help to establish workable, and productive relationships amongst youngsters who are experiencing social, political and financial rivalry.
JAJC suspects that, it is because of the numerous, and failed communities in Detroit that has led to the gross, and horrific murders of several people, young and old.
JAJC strongly urges, and encourages, the immediate rehabilitation of these failed Detroit communities by upgrading, restoring, and building opportunities, programs, and by providing the many other ingredients needed to make for a healthy community.
JAJC surmises that it is unjust to punish vulnerable individuals that, as a result of their forced negative reality, are victims of their forced negative reality by no choice of their own.
JAJC rejects, and will not participate in the public debate that pits the Jerean Blake family against the family of Aiyana Jones.
The death of Aiyana Jones allegedly engineered by the Detroit Police was done in total disregard for the safety, dignity and respect of the poor, Black residents and communities on Detroit’s eastside where Aiyana Jones lived and was killed.
JAJC chairman, Roland Lawrence states, “The Aiyana Jones tragedy is a pathetic and heinous symbol of “police gone wild,” and must be held as an end all on how police agencies interact with poor communities of color.”
