Today is Malala Yousafzai's 17th birthday.
At age 14, Malala was shot point blank in the head by the Taliban, just for wanting an education.
Malala has used her experience to raise global awareness of girls' right to an education, a cause she continues to champion.
Education is a human right, and a critical tool in preventing violence against women. Our continued solidarity with Malala, and all who stand up for the basic rights of women and girls!http://bit.ly/GJtf4r
