Every 5 minutes a child runs away from home in the UK. 70% go unreported as missing. Thousands of child runaways sleep on our streets, unnoticed and alone. They are UK's invisible shame. Many like Jessica, whose story is told here, end up begging, selling drugs, or are forced into prostitution.

Young people, especially girls, are prime targets for pimps and abusers. Here at Railway Children we race to reach children as soon as they arrive on the streets and intervene before an abuser does. Our trained street teams find and protect young people.
