Just in case you're not aware of what is happening today regarding the NHS, I just thought I'd give you a heads-up.
The House Of Commons has recently tried to push through the unpopular Health & Social Care Act. The new Clinical Commissioning Groups would have to put virtually all health services out for private tender (section 75) contrary to the promises made by ministers.
As a result of huge public opposition the House Of Lords will be discussing the new regulations, and could possibly vote against them. If this were the case, the government would have to completely start again. Many campaigners have been lobbying Lords in recent weeks.
Today/Wed 24th there will be a campaigning presence opposite the House Of Lords on College Green from 12pm. The Lords will be arriving at around 3.45pm for their debate.
I do hope that you'll be able to come along and show your support on this crucial day that may yet still protect our beloved NHS.
