Rev Jackson Seeks Fair Phone Rates For Prison Inmates

Prison inmates in Cook County have had to pay rates as high as $15 per minute for telephone calls, a huge financial burdon on the families of those incarcerated. Rev. Jesse Jackson appealed to the Cook County Board to work with phone companies to end profiting off of prisoners and lower rates to make them more affordable to families.
