Diane was trafficked to Paris from her home country, Burkina Faso, and forced to work in domestic servitude under terrible conditions for more than two years before she escaped. This is her story: http://sm.ohchr.org/14ygs1d
She is one of an estimated 53 million domestic workers world-wide, a third of whom have no labour protection of any kind.
The UN Slavery Fund financially supports NGOs, to support projects delivering humanitarian, legal, psychological and social assistance to victims of slavery and offering specialized support in the reconstruction of their lives.
