You don’t truly begin to appreciate the value of life

“You don’t truly begin to appreciate the value of life and the beauty it holds until you’ve felt pain and heartache, until you’ve been through hard times and had to make it through on your own, until you’ve had to work hard to earn everything you have, until you’ve had your back against the wall faced with the choice to either keep going or to give up all together, until you’ve received the scars from those times you’ve had to fight back just to survive, until you’ve hit rock bottom and had to climb your way to the top, until you’ve been on the brink of defeat and had no one to pull you back over the edge, until you’ve struggled to make it where you are now, and until you’ve felt as if you can’t take much more because you’ve had to do this alone; but yet it is through the pain, the suffering, and the darkest times in our lives that we find out who we really are, that we discover the will to survive and fight back, that the power within us to rebuild our lives grows stronger because it’s that motivation from knowing we’ve survived so much all ready that pushes us to keep going and reminds us that we still have what it takes to make it in life for we were born ready and although experiences have changed us in some ways, we can still change our lives and become who we want to be.”
