A new telephone hotline and website launched Friday allows people
to anonymously report instances of fraud, waste and abuse within the
N.C. Department of Public Safety.
Fraud, Waste, Abuse and Misconduct toll-free hotline is (844) 208-4018 and information can also be left at the
Fraud, Waste, Abuse and Misconduct website on the DPS homepage at https://www.ncdps.gov/Index2.cfm?a=000003,000008,002840,002836.
Spokeswoman
Pamela Walker said each allegation would be investigated by the
department's Internal Audit section or referred to the appropriate
division or outside agency for follow-up and resolution. Investigations
are primarily confidential to protect the integrity of the investigation
and to preserve the privacy of the persons and entities involved, she
said.
These features are
part of an initiative led by Governor
Pat McCrory and Perry to eliminate waste and malfeasance within state
government, she said....... 2 of the close custody facilities Scotland

has been reprimanded or suspended. The rest of the prison has been on
full lockdown. no commissary, no showers, no phone calls, or visits.
