Submit a letter to the White House: We are collecting stories, articles, letters to send directly to the White House. We strongly believe they have no idea about all that's going on within the special needs community. If you or someone you know has a child that's been mistreated in the public school system, we need your voice. Even if you don't have a child with special needs and would like to just share how you feel, sent it to us. These stories, articles and letters will be printed and sent directly to President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and the Secretary of Education.
Here's how:
Tell your story in the form of a letter or simply a note using MS Word. Please keep your tone of your letter respectful this is NOT an attack on the White House, this is just to inform them of what's going on. If you'd like to give suggestions how what they should do to improve this issue, include it. If you're not sure how to format it, don't worry about it, just speak from your heart. If your child was bullied or abused include what happened, the city/state where it happened. Please be brief, clear and to the point. If actions were taken, included that in your letter. If the school was informed and no actions where taken, include that as well. You can use your full name or first name only, but please include city and state.
Submit your letter to esilentvoices@gmail.com by June 1st.
Don't forget to sign the petition at http://wh.gov/Jbrr
If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a direct message here on Facebook. I look forward to reading your letter. Thank you in advance! Let's make a difference!!!
