Former inmate describes being tortured in max security prison

The prison industrial complex makes billions of dollars in profits each year and in a recent case at a correction facility in Baltimore, 12 female guards were impregnated by an inmate. Guards at the facility were also indicted for helping prisoners run drug operations and the union representing the guards has claimed they found several systematic weaknesses that contributed to the problem. Mac Gaskins was incarcerated for more than a decade and today works as a community organizer and prisoner rights advocate. He speaks with RT's Meghan Lopez and gives us a firsthand look behind the prison system.
