A victim of domestic violence should not be placed in contempt of court and face prison because they will not divulge their flee address.
On the 29th August I went before a Judge at Manchester Civil Centre after I was placed in contempt of court for not providing my flee/safe address, had it not been for a very dear friend I would have been sent directly to Styal Prison as I refused to part with the address that only I know.

The Sun, ITV and BBC News have all reported on this as it has highlighted a massive flaw in the British Justice System.
NO VICTIM OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHOULD FACE PRISON FOR WITHHOLDING A SAFE ADDRESS AND NO VICTIMS ADDRESS SHOULD BE DIVULGED IN AN OPEN COURT!
Our civil courts constantly distress and put victims of domestic violence in danger and so I ask Helen Grant MP, Chris Grayling MP, David Cameron Prime Minister and Nick Clegg Deputy Prime Minister to look into this as a matter of urgency.
First we have the unnecessary anti molestation process which cost our country thousands if not millions of pounds every year and is a process that causes distress to victims of domestic violence. It is a totally needless process and #OneVoice Never Silenced has conducted extensive research into how this can be replaced therefore ensuring victims of domestic violence are not traumatised and distressed but cocooned and protected so ready to give evidence in any trial against their abusers.
Secondly we have the massive flaw in our law where a victim can be sent to prison for withholding their safe address THIS IS WRONG and it has also come to our attention that flee/safety addresses have actually been read out in an open court whilst an abuser is present!
Our domestic violence victims need us, I have started to receive emails from others that have been exposed and put in danger by Judges and our Justice System - THIS MUST STOP!
We hope you will support us by signing this petition and also backing our campaign for better protection for victims and a victims bill.
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me and if you are a victim/survivor who has been put in danger or exposed by our justice system please get in touch.
#OneVoice Never Silenced is leading a nationwide campaign with support from leading Human Rights Barrister David Malone to tackle these problems.
