Journalist jailed for recording police
RT has been following the case of Adam Mueller, a New Hampshire man who has been sentenced to almost three months behind bars for publishing police conservations on the Web. Mueller, 30, had been covering the story of a high school student that was allegedly assaulted by a cop on campus. When Mueller saw video of the incident, he tried to reach out to law enforcement and school officials for answers, recording those conversations for his report. The court says publishing those taped discussions without consent violates their wiretap law, though, and now he has been sentenced. Pete Eyre of CopBlock.org
