DC police recognizes citizen-journalists




The community outrage in Anaheim California is fueled in part by the
fact that images of police brutality were acught on camera. But across
the US RT has reported on police demanding people to stop recording
them, stripping them of their phones even arresting people ofr rolling
the camera. All this raised questions over Americans' first ammendment
rights. But RT has obtained a statement from DC police chief Cathy
Lanier explaining the constitutional rights of citizens implying that
anyone can film police conducting official business in any public
