FREE KRISTA MCDANIEL

Krista McDaniel has been sentenced to thirty years without parole, and imprisoned without a trial for a crime that the court admits she did not commit. She was charged as an adult at the age of sixteen, and was bullied or persuaded to enter a guilty plea, and her appeals have been denied or ignored.

She killed no one, harmed no one; she was merely present in the company of the perpetrators. South Carolina law specifies that "the hand of one is the hand of all," and South Carolina law does not accord special treatment to juveniles. Nonetheless, a vicious injustice has been done to this young woman, barely more than a child even now, after ten years of imprisonment.
