STOP GENOCIDE IN WESTERN SAHARA BY MOROCCO

Subject: PDL CONDEMS MOROCCO'S GENOCIDE CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF WESTERN SAHARA



The Sierra Leone People's Democratic League (PDL) strongly condemns the genocide campaign planned and clinically executed by the Moroccan forces of aggression against the peace and freedom-loving people of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), i.e. Western Sahara. In particular, PDL condemns unequivocally the "deadly attack" on 8 November, 2010 perpetrated by Moroccan forces against Gdeim Izik camp near occupied city of Laayoune which left dozens of people, hundreds of injured and missing.



The right to self-determination of the people of Western Sahara is a legitimate right, which cannot be usurped by the rogue Moroccan state. Aggression and violent attacks on Western Sahara is a daily ritual by Moroccan forces of terror. Morocco's unending occupation undermines the noble right and democratic freedoms of the Sahrawi people acquired during Spanish colonialism era.



PDL believes that this repression in Western Sahara must be brought to an end. Morocco's acts of aggression and brutal occupation must be condemned in the strongest possible terms by all humanity. We therefore join the civilized world to condemn the violent aggression by Moroccan forces of terror against the people of Western Sahara.



We call on the concerned international Bodies and Organisations to end Moroccan aggression and brutal violation of the national sovereignty, independence and self-determination of Western Sahara. We also call on the United Nations to act immediately and speed up the process of implementing a lasting Peace Plan for Western Sahara.



We ask the APC Government of President Ernest Bai Koroma in Freetown, to end its unholy alliance with the Moroccan rogue Monarchy; and also end its support for Morocco's aggression and genocide campaign against the people of Western Sahara. We ask the Sierra Leonean government also, to support democracy and freedom in Morocco, and never again defend the policy of aggression of the rogue Monarchy against its neighbours.



Concluding, the Sierra Leone People's Democratic League (PDL) extends warm solidarity to the people of Western Sahara, who are leading a legitimate struggle against Moroccan aggression and occupation under the charismatic leadership of the Polisario Frontt.
